The 8th round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Georgia and the Arab Republic of Egypt

On February 12, 2026, the 8th round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Georgia and the Arab Republic of Egypt was held in Cairo, co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia, Mr. Aleksander Khvtisiashvili and Deputy Foreign Minister of Egypt for European Affairs Ambassador Wael Hamed.

 

Within the framework of the consultations, issues on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral relations and opportunities for further collaboration have been discussed. The parties exchanged views on the current developments in the Black Sea region, the African continent and the Middle East.

 

The importance of conducting closer interaction between Georgia and Egypt and the exchange of high-level visits and business delegations was emphasized.
