On May 14, 2026 Nikoloz Apkhazava, Ambassador of Georgia held a meeting with Ambassador Wael Hamed, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Sides discussed a wide range of subjects of mutual interest including the issues on the recent developments in the region. They also exchanged the views on organizing high-level visits, holding the next round of the intergovernmental economic commission as well as boosting ties between the legislative bodies of Georgia and Egypt.
