Within the framework of a working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, H.E. Mr. Levan Davitashvili, together with the Georgian delegation, attended the Georgian-Egyptian Business Forum

On March 20, 2023, within the framework of a working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, H.E. Mr. Levan Davitashvili, together with the Georgian delegation, attended the Georgian-Egyptian Business Forum held in Egypt for the first time in the history of bilateral relations.

Within the framework of the forum a "Memorandum of Understanding between LEPL Enterprise of Georgia and "General Authority of Investments and Free Zones of Egypt" was signed.

In addition, a presentation on the investment environment of Georgia was held followed by the bilateral meetings between the Georgian delegation and representatives of the Egyptian companies.

The largest Egyptian companies from the energy, tourism, aviation, agriculture and medical sectors represented the Egyptian business delegation participating in the forum. Among them "Suez Canal Authority", "ElSewedy Electric", "Air Cairo", "Vacsera", "AlMasriya", "Dana Group" and etc.

The Georgian-Egyptian business forum aimed to inform representatives of the Egyptian business sector about the investment potential and economic opportunities of Georgia, to attract investments to Georgia and to expand trade and economic cooperation between the countries.
